1 December 2011

from John McDonald

In 2004 I wrote a book chapter on exogenous crossmodal attention with Jon Driver and Charles Spence. This week I started writing a follow up research paper on the same topic. I was thinking of Jon throughout the early writing process. Although we didn't work together often, Jon did a lot for my career. We engaged in a scholarly debate that appeared in press, after which Jon invited me to co-author the above-mentioned chapter. He also wrote numerous letters of recommendation on my behalf.

Thanks for everything Jon. It was an honour to work with you.
