3 December 2011

from Mal Williamson

It has been great to read about Jon's working life on this blog. Many years ago I was the manager of his band The London Boys - and we all should have given up when he left!  Reading what people have said it would seem Jon never changed. The kindness, quiet and modest - I`d forgotten about that.  And putting an end to the discussion so we all realised it had gone on long enough. The best arguments were with Jon and usually ended with a lot of laughing and his quiet smile as he looked at you.  We lost the main discussion - the one where he went off to Uni. To do something silly like Psychology was it?!  "Stay with the band!"  I think we were all equally upset and proud when he made his decision to leave. I have been a colleague of his sister Sarah for some years so have kept up with some of his fantastic achievements. I had been hoping to bump into him again and chat about it all. So sad. Huge condolences to his family and friends. Take care of yourselves.
