IN 1991 Jon Driver arrived in Eugene Oregon. Young, brilliant, full of ambition perhaps a little surprised at the remote laid back place in which he found himself. It was a wonderful year, we learned from Jon that objects were more than locations and sensation was more than vision. Perhaps he learned a little as well because his return to the UK was marked not only by great research achievements but perhaps a bit more surprisingly outstanding and sensitive leadership and mentorship. I last saw Jon in Sicily at Attention and Performance XX in 2002, in a single decade he had become a leading figure in neuroimaging. What a great loss to London, U.K. and the larger worlds of psychology and neuroscience.
Jon Driver died suddenly on 28th November 2011. Jon was a wonderful individual; a loving son, husband, father and brother; and an irreplaceable friend and colleague.
This is a place for everyone who knew Jon to share our memories of him and through this to help celebrate his life.
