Jon Driver died suddenly on 28th November 2011. Jon was a wonderful individual; a loving son, husband, father and brother; and an irreplaceable friend and colleague.

This is a place for everyone who knew Jon to share our memories of him and through this to help celebrate his life.

I knew Jon in the early 90s when he was still a junior lecturer. I remember many enjoyably competitive games of table tennis at Caius and a number of amusing forays into the Cambridge nightlife. On one occasion, after having queued for sometime outside a particularly shabby venue, we reached the door only for the bouncer to take one look at Jon (who was dressed quite smartly) and declare “Sorry mate, too casual”. Jon was one of the good guys, he always worked extremely hard and was a man of principle and humour - he was an inspirational character. It was with great sadness that I heard the news.
